Open-source notices
This is a draft that a lawyer is still reviewing. It may change before Mementa launches.
Mementa is built on open-source software. This page lists the main parts, their licences, and where to get the source code.
On this page 6 sections
In short
- Mementa stores and organises your photos with Immich v3.3.5, under the GNU AGPL v3.0.
- We run the official release without changes, and its source code is public.
- Mementa is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Immich project.
Immich
Mementa's photo and video service runs Immich v3.3.5, an open-source photo and video platform, together with Immich's machine-learning service from the same release, which powers search and face grouping. We run the official release without changes.

Your rights under the AGPL
The GNU Affero General Public License lets you get, run, study, change and share Immich's source code under its terms. Because people use Immich through Mementa over the internet, the licence also requires anyone who runs a changed version to offer its source code to the people who use it.
We don't change Immich's code. If we ever do, we will publish our changes and link to them on this page.
The Mementa apps and our account and billing service are our own software. They contain no Immich code and talk to Immich through its public interface.
Fonts
This website and the apps use the Fraunces and Plus Jakarta Sans typefaces, both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The licence texts are at /fonts/Fraunces-OFL.txt and /fonts/PlusJakartaSans-OFL.txt.
This website
This website is built with Astro and Tailwind CSS, both under the MIT License.
The apps
The Android, iPhone and web apps list the open-source software they include, with each licence, in Settings › About App › Legal & Privacy › Open-source licenses. The same screen has the Immich notice with a link to its source code, under Third-Party Open Source Notices.
